Dr. Jeffrey A. Poland
Dr. Jeffrey Poland is a graduate of Bishop Walsh High School and Frostburg State University. He received his Doctor of Optometry degree from the Pennsylvania College of Optometry in Philadelphia, PA. He received the Citation for Clinical Excellence from the Pennsylvania College of Optometry as well as the Bausch and Lomb Award for Excellence in Contact Lens Practice.
Dr. Jeff is a member of the American Optometric Association and past president of the Maryland Optometric Association and the Western Maryland Optometric Society. His areas of special professional interest include pediatric eye care and ocular disease diagnosis and management. Dr. Jeff resides in LaVale with his wife Lisa and is the father of two adult children Matt (and wife Kayleigh) and Jenna (and husband James). Dr. Jeff’s favorite hobby is travel, and best-loved destinations have included Scandinavia, Scotland & Ireland, and the Caribbean.
Dr. John A. Manard
Dr. John Manard is a graduate of New Mexico State University with a Bachelor’s Degree in Mathematics. He received his Doctor of Optometry degree from The College of Optometry at The Ohio State University. Dr. Manard underwent specialized training in management of ocular diseases and surgical co-management of cataract and LASIK patients. He was chosen as a recipient of the Ohio Optometric Association’s Student Loan Repayment Program Award, recognizing Dr. Manard as a doctor of optometry who is committed to treating underserved populations and ensuring they have access to lifetime eye care.
Dr. Manard provides comprehensive eye examinations to patients of all ages, as well as treatment and management of ocular disease conditions such as glaucoma, dry eye syndrome, and diabetic eye changes. He is especially interested in contact lens fitting and assessment, including more complicated cases. Dr. Manard is a member of the American and Maryland Optometric Associations. He is married to fellow optometrist Dr. Whitney Territo, and they reside in Bedford, PA. In his spare time, he enjoys running and hiking local trails.
Dr. Whitney M. Territo
A native of Bedford, PA, Dr. Whitney Territo attended Indiana University of Pennsylvania (IUP) for her undergraduate studies and The Ohio State University College of Optometry for her doctorate. She graduated summa cum laude from Ohio State University and was awarded the Beta Sigma Kappa Silver Medal, signifying the attainment of the highest GPA of her graduating class. In addition, she was chosen as the Class of 2016 Graduate of the Year for her clinical excellence and academic achievements and received the Low Vision Rehabilitation Clinical Excellence Award.
Dr. Territo provides comprehensive vision and eye health care to patients of all ages, as well as the management and treatment of diabetic eye disease, macular degeneration, glaucoma and dry eye syndrome. She is also passionate about low vision rehabilitation and continues to advocate for patients who have sustained irreversible vision loss.
Optometry is a family vocation for Dr. Territo: her father is an optometrist in Bedford, and she works with her husband Dr. John Manard here at Lifetime Eyecare. Dr. Territo is an active member of the American and Pennsylvania Optometric Associations. She is working towards obtaining her Fellowship with the American Academy of Optometry. She enjoys playing piano in her free time. Drs. Territo and Manard are avid bird watchers and enjoy traveling to unique places in search of a rare bird to add to their life list.
Dr. Brian Manspeaker
Dr. Brian Manspeaker graduated from Juniata College and the Pennsylvania College of Optometry. He resides in Everett, PA, with his wife Janet where they have lovingly restored his family’s historic farmhouse. Dr. Manspeaker enters a new era in 2021 with his “semi-retirement.” While no longer maintaining a weekly appointment schedule, he loves his patients and his profession and looks forward to being Lifetime’s “on deck” optometrist for vacation coverage. Meanwhile, he has a long list of projects, a stack of good books, and many plans to spend more time with his kids & grandkids.
